MTN’s Adeola Oduntan to Share Expertise at 7th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Summit
Adeola Oduntan, General Manager, Global Sourcing & Supply Chain Management, MTN will be among the stellar line up of prominent speakers, at the 7th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Summit & Awards, set to take place on July 3–4, 2025, at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
Under the theme “Driving Impact through Innovation: The Future of Procurement & Supply in Africa,” Mr. Oduntan will deliver a keynote address on “Building Resilient Supply Chains in Africa.” Leveraging his deep expertise, he will highlight how cutting-edge technologies, such as digital tracking systems and data analytics, can transform supply chain operations by improving visibility and resilience in the face of Africa’s unique challenges, including infrastructure constraints, political uncertainties, and economic fluctuations.
As a distinguished panelist, Mr. Oduntan will also contribute to a session on “Effective Supplier Relationship Management,” sharing insights on fostering transparent communication, building trust, and aligning strategically with suppliers to drive innovation and collaboration in Africa’s fast-evolving markets.
Mr. Oduntan brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at MTN and previous roles at leading organizations. At IHS Towers, he established the supply chain department, optimizing logistics, inventory, and fleet management across Nigeria’s 23,300 towers.
His work at United Biscuits pioneered West Africa’s supply chain operations, managing 125,000 tons annually for brands like McVitie’s. At Diageo, as Head of Supply Chain Improvement for Guinness Nigeria, he spearheaded cost-saving initiatives and optimized operations across three breweries and eight distribution centers.
The summit, supported by industry leaders including MTN, Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority, Volta River Authority, and Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, will bring together professionals to exchange strategies and address the evolving demands of Africa’s procurement and supply chain landscape.
