The Africa Digital Economy Awards (ADEA) is a platform founded in the mid-2010s to honour Africa’s digital champions, innovators, creativities and inventions across multiple areas of an ever-evolving sector.
Now in its 11th year, ADEA will honour Africa’s digital champions, aligning with the African Union’s digital transformation strategy to promote pioneers and frontrunners in Africa’s digitalization journey.
Recognizing Excellence: Each year, ADEA shines a spotlight on Africa’s digital champions – from visionary individual tech innovators to transformative organizations – whose contributions have significantly impacted the continent’s digital growth and security.
Impact and Leadership: Over eleven years, ADEA has played a unique role in nurturing and promoting digital talent. It has become a catalyst for innovation, encouraging public and private sector leaders to push the boundaries of technology in sectors like finance, education, health, and infrastructure.

As the 11th edition, ADEA 2025 is not just an awards gala but a celebration of over a decade of progress in Africa’s digital economy. The event will highlight how far the continent has come from nascent tech hubs a decade ago to today’s vibrant ecosystem of startups, fintech innovators, and digital transformation leaders. It reinforces the message that digital innovation is now at the heart of Africa’s development, contributing to job creation, poverty reduction, improved service delivery, and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
