African Public Procurement Network President, Dr. Clever Ruswa to Keynote 7th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Summit in Nigeria

Dr. Clever Ruswa, President of the African Public Procurement Network (APPN) and Chief Executive Officer of the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ), will deliver a keynote address at the 7th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Summit, scheduled for July 3–4, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Under the golden theme “Driving Impact through Innovation: The Future of Procurement & Supply in Africa,” Dr. Ruswa will share his vision for transforming public procurement across the continent by promoting fairness, sustainability, and business competitiveness.

He will be addressing the summit, viewing it as a critical stage for elevating procurement standards, highlighting actionable strategies to strengthen procurement governance and foster economic progress in Africa.

The APPN chief will emphasize on means on adopting innovative approaches and best practices could bolster transparency, bring sustainable growth, and unleash Africa’s economic promise through strengthened procurement frameworks.

Dr. Ruswa brings a wealth of expertise to the summit, drawing from his extensive career in procurement, finance, and infrastructure. As APPN President, he leads an association representing public procurement structures across 46 African countries.

At PRAZ, Dr. Ruswa has spearheaded initiatives to strengthen regulatory frameworks and promote best practices. His previous roles include Group Chief Executive Officer at Mike Appel Organisation, Chief Operating Officer at the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe, General Manager at ZB Financial Holdings, and Head of Operations at Interfin Bank, where he drove operational efficiency and strategic growth.

Supported by industry leaders like MTN, Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Volta River Authority (VRA), and Flour Mill Nigeria Limited, the event will provide a dynamic platform for benchmarking strategies, exchanging ideas, and navigating today’s evolving market landscape.
